Dear friends, brothers and sisters in Christ,

In the name of MIAMSI and all its members gathered in Malta, be welcomed to our twelfth General Assembly. Sharing with you this Eucharist on the threshold of our meeting, fills us all with joy.

During six intense days, three hundred persons arriving from twenty-seven countries will be able to share their human experiences, their lives as people of faith, particularly concerning our subject: Migrations.

All together, as a large family, let us put ourselves under God’s gaze. In fact, according to the teaching of Saint Paul:

“For through him we both have access to the Father by one Spirit. Consequently, you are no longer foreigners and aliens, but fellow citizens with God's people and members of God's household, built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, with Christ Jesus himself as the chief cornerstone”. (Ephesians 2, 18-20)
